School Bags for Tween Boys

Picking out a backpack for your middle school son is a little different from selecting a school bag for a tween daughter.  Whereas there are many designs and patterns that are great for girls, the selections for boys at an older level aren't as decorative.  With peer influence, and the potential for teasing, it's best to avoid childish designs altogether.  Messenger bags are a great carrying option, if the style has taken hold at your son's school, but defer to his judgement.  Backpacks are a good choice, but work on your child's storage of materials and books, developing some organizational strategies from the git go.

Solid Colored school bags are a good choice, as are multi-colored backpacks.  Plaids have become rather popular, and there are some great plaid school bags that work as unisex designs.  Popular emblems, whether sports, or clothing designer related, can be good options, as well.  For the tween who is a sports enthusiast, a team related backpack can be another great option.  Regardless of choice, it's wise to include your son in the selection process.
