Sling Backpacks for Tween Boys: One Strap Backpacks
| K-Cliffs Sling Backpack ***Images are Clickable for Current Amazon Pricing |
For years, students have carried backpacks by slinging one strap over one shoulder. While a hiker may appreciate a two-strap backpack, a middle school student, or older, tends to casually carry that school bag backpack over just one shoulder. Very few middle schoolers use the two strap carry method, so a one strap backpack sling bag makes perfect sense for the tween age group, and up.
Look for a roomy enough sling backpack, that books and school materials will fit adequately. Tween school bags can be a little lacking in organization, so pay attention to your tween's management, and take time to review the condition of his pack here and there. If you run into challenges with grades, the backpack is one of the first things to check, for clues to the source of problems. Explore this post for some fresh new sling backpacks in 2013.

One Strap Backpacks for Tween Girls
A one strap backpack isn't a good choice as a main school book bag, as the style is smaller than a normal backpack, and will not adequately hold the typical sizes and quantities of school books a middle school student can expect to receive at the outset of the school year. However, as a secondary tote, this is a nice, lightweight style, and makes a lot of sense, given the manner in which many middle school students, and older tend to carry a backpack slung over one shoulder.
A one strap backpack can serve as a nice alternative to a handbag or gym bag, and is a great way to keep physical education clothes separate from other academic materials. The sling style bag is also a great lightweight travel bag, perfect for a day trip during the summer, or on a weekend.
